College Success Check List

Establish a shared agenda for the parent and student. You might consider a Google calendar or something similar.

Visits
Holidays

Discussion of the monthly budget. Be specific.

What is the weekly allowance?
What is the expectation, if it does not have enough money?
What is the backup plan?
What is a financial emergency?
What are the consequences of poor management of the money?

A debit card should be set up for parents to the transfer of funds.

A timetable has been set for a regular communication. Those conversations?

The mobile phone plan revised.

Computer and supplies are on order. A copy of the interview must accept the student. Identify where repairs or problems can be solved in the vicinity of the campus.

Health Insurance was discussed. Make sure that the student has a health card and know how to access medical care.

Supply of prescription drugs
Small medicine kit with band aids, antiseptic cream, peroxide

Small box of file folders and files within the system already in place for the management of their business documents .

School Book revenue receipts

Addresses with important phone numbers and addresses. Keep in file box.

Discuss what the expectation is for the holidays. When you see each other again? This is good for reducing homesickness.

Decision on a meal. You could start with the minimum number of meals. Some children use the plans, others do not. It is a good start with a minimum of one meal per day.
